Think ya got what it takes?

I watched Super Size Me a few days ago. I’ve had the DVD for ages but I wasn’t really into documovies until the movie became a hot topic of discussion in Advertising class. The verdict? I’m not setting foot in a fast food chain restaurant ever again. That movie really opened my eyes to the fat, unhealthy truth.

Okay, so maybe I will still set foot…but I’m keeping myself away from the fries.

I didn’t have any classes today but Rahul, his bro and I went around the South side of Singapore in fullfilment of our massive Newsletter project. It felt so good. We have authorization letters to interview Managers and the heads of any company we wish to feature in our stories. Everything felt so professional….so journalistic…..hahaha.

The interviews were fine. Although we only had time to for two today. We didn’t know it was gonna take that long to get from one place to the other. And it was raining too! Our feature story on Kite Flying at Marina South was dampened. But, we didn’t wanna be wet blankets and went ahead with the interview with the Kite Shop owner although we didn’t get any pictures of people flying kites.

The interview with the New York Pizza floor manager went really really smooth. She was extremely accomodating and answered all our questions with enthusiasm. I think that if we asked for it, she would have let us in the kitchen to take some ‘behind the scenes’ snapshots. And there’s a guy (whom I’ve been checking out since I started buying my pizza from there) who looks a lot like Sean William Scott. No kidding. Even Rahul and his bro agree with me.

Anyway…………..
