Malamig ang simoy ng hangin……NOT!
Tuesday, December 20, 2005It’s just one of those days where everything makes me feel depressed. I skipped school yesterday and today because I came down with a bad case of sore throat . Must be the side effect of talking the whole day and then having ice cream right after. Try it, it really soothes the throat. (I was being sarcastic, if you haven’t already noticed.)
Every once in a while I start to feel so lonely. Especially now that Christmas is just a few days away. I can’t even feel the Christmas spirit. A normal person would be peeing his pants just thinking about it. I hate it here, it’s so boring. I wanna go back home where all my relatives are. Rikki’s back in camp after so many failed attempts for a dinner with him, I haven’t seen him in weeks, my coursemates don’t celebrate Christmas and everyone is so caught up with deadlines, projects and all the university stuff to even notice.
I can’t feel Christmas this year. It’s sad. Very sad.
Here’s an attempt to make myself feel the spirit.
- Would you believe that I only found out that Santa Clause was actually my parents when I was 14? I used to wake up really early just to check my sock, which would always be filled with things I like (usually toys and food). My parents give great presents.
- I have never gone to simbang gabi in my life. Maybe just once or twice when I was in Manila but never completed the whole series. And now that I’m here in Singapore, when will I ever experience that?
- I love putobungbung. You can’t find that here in Singapore. That was my first request when I was in Manila about 2 months ago. I had my aunt send that to the hotel on my arrival. Love love love love it.
- Contrary to popular belief, the right time to celebrate Christmas is on the 24th and 25th and the 12 days after. Not the 12 days before.
Anyway, sick or not, I need to get my Advertising campaign project done.
Happy Holidays everyone.
