Room 1204.
Sunday, November 12, 2006 For the past 6 days I was living at the Carlton. Yes, really.
Here's proof, the view from my hotel room.

CHIJMES.
I finally got to THE biggest event of my internship. THE biggest project I was working on and believe me, it was such a relief that everything went well. The seminar participants were happy, my bosses were happy and I got credit for my work and yes, free food and lodging for 6 days.
Being the assistant wasn't so bad, I actually handled everything pretty well, the logistics, the coordinations and blah blah (I think even my mom's pretty proud of me). AND I found out what I enjoy doing - events planning. Maybe it runs in the family, 4 out of 6 of my elder cousins are event planners/organizers.

The tired assistant sans makeup (unglam, but definitely contented) with the Chinese Mask Change performer I took months to contact. That's the only picture I have where I look decent enough. Hahahaha.
After that long week, I indulged in some retail therapy.
Two weeks ago I reserved a pair of Dior shades but when I went to pick them up, I couldn't help but try everything on again. Not surprisingly, I changed my mind and bought a different pair. Gucci, baby! I call them my Lindsay Lohan shades. One month's salary on a pair of shades, sometimes I think if I'm crazy. Hahaha. Nah….its Christmas! It's an early Christmas gift for myself.
I PASSED MY MANDARIN CLASS ORAL EXAM!
Well not exactly with a perfect score but good enough for me (25/40). Borderline, but who the hell cares! My Chinese can make it one okay!?! I scored well with the Mandarin to English translation but totally blew my English to Mandarin. Which just proved what I already knew, I can understand!! I'm signing up for Mandarin Level 2. I'm glad it's Monday nights this time, which means….. I have my Friday nights back!!! I am so gonna PARTYY!!

Hey! Congratulations on the exam and facilitating a major event. The Gucci shades look wicked on you by the way. So when you think about it, it’s not really a splurge. It’s an investment.
