Someone told me this was just a dance.
Wednesday, January 3, 2007Hello 2007!
It has been a busy busy November and December for me.
November I ended my internship and started on a new one on December. I was having a pretty hard time adjusting to the new company I completely forgot to shop for Christmas prezzies! I shopped for my friends' Christmas gifts two to three days before Christmas. And I had classes! The only day we got off was the 25th. I'm taking my American Politics and Economics module, and I am seriously NOT coping well with it. So shoot me if I'm the least informed of current events in my whole MassComm batch.
Anyhoo, the last gift I got was for the sweetheart. The way way belated Christmas gift I gave him on New Year's day. It's not that I didn't know what he liked and wanted, I knew, it's just I didn't want to give him those. After weeks of looking for the perfect gift, I finally got him a leather journal with a stainless steel pen. Page after page of clean white paper (un-lined, I hate lines), for him to put his thoughts to paper.

With the sweetheart at Timbre.

Kamariah and I at MOS. We just love to PARTYYYY! Rumor has it that we are in the MOS magazine under party pics.
Kamariah and I went to Malaysia one Saturday to shop. We had a list of the things we wanted to do/get there but when we go to the Malaysian Immigration, the line was so long the people were spilling out of the office and into the street. Seriously, we stood in line for almost an hour and half until we finally entered Malaysia. After a very late lunch, we realized we didn't have time to shop for gifts AND get our nails done. Besides, fall fashion ain't our thing. I was utterly shocked at the end of the day when I got home that I only got two tops from Mango. I was expecting myself to be carrying shitloads of stuff home. We agreed that the next time we go to Malaysia, we have to meet so much more earlier than we did before.

Happy New Year! Living in Singapore, we can only use sparklers, how sad.
Alvin L, on the other hand, had a blast of time in Manila for New Year. I had Christmas dinner with him on the 23rd. Eight course Chinese dinner I think, which we spent most of making fun of the other people in the restaurant. Right after the dinner, went for drinks at Timbre and prata at Jalan Kayu afterwards.

More sparklers photos.

We got a big happy with the light pics.
New Years Day party at chez moi. Pics taken by my twin, Nicholas X, who happened to click real well with Arfin S. I'm always really happy when friends like each other. It's just too bad Rikki A couldn't come, he had friggin' guard duty on the first friggin day of 2007! I went for Rikki A's Christmas chalet (like I do every year) and I was such a dumb sack for wearing a mini skirt. I got infested by ants and mozzies. My legs had ugly red/brown patches on them from all the scratching I did. Something Tiger Balm couldn't make better, mom had to get me some very oily ointment to counter the itch and the redness.
So of course, on Christmas and New Year, my mobile was beeping like crazy from all the bombardment of text greetings, all of which I truly appreciate but if I didn't reply to your message, it was most probably because I didn't know if I had already replied or not or was too busy with everything else. My aunt from Manila texted me but I only got to reply about a day and half after, I felt so bad saying 'Belated Merry Christmas!' Oh well, we can't please everyone.
In 2007…..
- I turn 21. Officially legal age! Hopefully Borat is still playing in cinemas. Hahahaha. I couldn't watch it since it's R21.
- School is gonna get NASTYYY! Module after module with lesser breaks in between.
- A possible backpacking trip with Clarence C and Will L, if the parental unit allows me to go with a bunch of guys.
- A possible Hong Kong trip with my cousins, if they decide to go ahead with the plan. (I hope they do! I need to get out of this tiny island!!)
Hugs & Kisses!

is he singaporean? if he is, that only means that there’s one less fine filipina out there for filipinos…haha
i didn’t immediately get what you said about the table setting. i thought you were referring to the blog template or something, and then i realised it was literally the table setting. did you notice the table? i just bought that in greenhills.

Empress Maruja and the Queer Chef greet you a Happy New Year!
It’s a good thing to celebrate the New Year even with sparklers. You should have seen the newest invention our innovative Pinoys created just for the New Year (the “boga”). Really scary…
