The Acrobat Commuter.
Sunday, July 8, 2007My article was published! I'm so happy. I hope this ain't the last time I will be writing for the magazine. I was staring at my name for like the WHOLE day. And kept reading and reading my article until I realize it's actually pretty boring (or maybe cuz I've read it like 50 times over). XC ♥ wasn't spared either, I forced him to read it again and again. I can't help it, I'm just so excited.

My mom's cousin was in Singapore for a couple days cuz he was invited to perform here. I was hoping he'd get XC ♥ and me free tickets… and he did! He's the Director of the Asian Magic Association and the President of the Inner Magic Club Philippines and his Singaporean counterparts organized a one night only show at the Victoria Theater. I was so excited cuz unlike XC ♥, I've never watched a magic show before and I'm always fascinated by stuff like that. Well, being attached to a magician doesn't mean I get to see all these… he doesn't show me!!! Well anyway, I showed my uncle around for a day, he wanted to go to Sim Lim to check out electronic stuff so we took a train down and he noticed that I don't grab hold of the handle bars in the train. So he started calling me the Acrobat Commuter. Hahaha. I thought his name calling was just hilarious. After that we went to meet XC ♥ and we had lunch at the Soup Restaurant, where I think I ate more than I normally do.

With XC ♥ and my uncle at Victoria Theater after the show. We hung around for a couple of minutes to mingle with the rest of the magicians who performed. The perks of being the director's niece - 'backstage' pass. Wee!

With friends and performers.
Okay, it's the pinkness of it all that attracted me. I wanted to wear his top hat but after seeing how sweaty he was under all that, I had second thoughts. Hahaha. And I realize I've been wearing that Rolling Stone top just about everywhere.
I loved his performance. He's the only one with a dance sequence incorporated to his routine. I thought it was just genius. That's all the pics I have cuz didn't get the chance to camwhore with the rest of the performers. But it was worth it!!
~*~
I went out with Nic and Fin the other day and we went to this cute 'underground' shop which sold imported (but good) stuff. It's called 'Actually' and it's at Seah Street. And now I'm too sleepy to blog about the rest of the trip so I will just end with this:

Me so good looking.

Congratulations on your article being published.
And yea, I bet your article was great, but reading it over and over again would be quite tiring.
