My chilli coated sweetheart weekend.
Tuesday, August 26, 2008Went for a nice dinner at Jumbo Seafood (Clark Quay) with the ♥ sweetheart on Saturday to celebrate our second. OMG we’re two. I can’t believe it myself. It feels like just a few weeks ago when I first met him at Starbucks and instantly hated him cuz he talked too much. Awwww… my heart is doing cartwheels and shedding a tear or two at my sheer sweetness and devotion (whatever lah, laugh as loud as you want).
Anyhoo, after dinner we walked around Clark Quay four to five times looking for some nice dessert place until the final consensus was that we were too full from that seafood dinner to pack in anymore food so we just parked our bloated selves at TCC for some drinks where I laughed my ass off because the sweetheart had a classic HIMBO MOMENT there regarding the river taxis that were docked near TCC.
The mandatory ‘the-way-we-were’ photo.
The sweetheart et moi two years ago. OMG. We looked like dorks! I look so ‘aunty’ with my long hair and he’s got that ‘fresh-off-army’ look. LOL. I’m not going to post a recent pic for comparison because I’m too lazy and they are all over my blog anyway.
Weeeee, I love chilli crab, I’ve been craving since I got back from the US and I’ve FINALLY had some. Muchos gracias, baobei. Would have been nice to stay for two hours and more just taking our time cracking open those crab shells and savouring the sauce but the restaurant was booked for the rest of the night that our reservation was only for one hour and fifteen minutes. Oh! And we got to wear those cute Jumbo seafood restaurant bibs! I love the bibs. >_<
I forgot to take pictures on Saturday. Booo.
Sunday I went to Suntec to check out prices for my Bali trip at the ASA Travel Fair and OMG my mom and I waited FOUR FUCKIN’ hours before our number was called. Thank goodness there was the Jewelery Fest right next door to the travel fair. We spent about three hours at the jewelery fest while waiting for our turn. BUT MY FINGERS ARE TOO DAMN SMALL TO FIT INTO ANY OF THOSE NICE RINGS. I saw about five rings I wanted to get but they were just too big. Bleagh.
Was so bummed about the fact that I went home EMPTY-HANDED from the Jewelery Fest that I did a major DIY foot spa when I got home. I soaked my feet in warm water, did a pedicure and painted my nails, all while listening to my favourite Arabic/Egyptian (yeah, I listen to Arabic songs) pop CD, the Best of Amr Diab and eagerly ate up Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. I may gone too overboard with the scrubbing though cuz the skin around my toes are a little too sensitive and red at the moment.
I’m sleepy, I’m going to take a nap now.
Ciao!
